DAWKINS, Caleb Co H, 7th NC Infantry Enlisted 7-22-61 at Cabarrus Co, NC.  Private, age 23, farmer.  Died between Dec.15 and Dec.17 1861 at Carolina City, NC Hospital.
DAWKINS, Mastin Co H, 7th NC Infantry Enlisted 7-20-61 at Cabarrus Co, NC.  Private, age18, farmer.  Died 6-19-62 of typhoid fever at Richmond, VA.
DAWS, H. A. Co D, 12th NC Infantry Enlisted 7-4-64 at Wake Co, NC.  Private.  Wounded in his right thigh 3-29-65 at Petersburg, VA.  POW 3-30-65.  Died 4-25-65 while a POW at City Point, VA.
DAWSON, Robert S. Co F, 2nd NC Infantry Enlisted 8-15-62 at Wake Co, NC.  Private, age 27, farmer.  POW 10-2-62 at Leesburg, VA.  Wounded 5-3-63 at Chancellorsville, VA.  Died 7-23-63 due to wounds at Richmond, VA.
DAWSON, William Fletcher Co H, 45th NC Infantry Enlisted 10-3-62 at Wake Co, NC.  Private, age 24.  POW 5-20-64 at Spotsylvania Court House, VA.  Imprisoned at Point Lookout Prison, MD.  Transferred 7-3-64 to Elmira Prison, NY.  Died 3-17-65 of chronic diarrhea while a POW at Elmira Prison, NY.  He is interred at Woodlawn National Cemetery.
DAY, Eli Co A, 4th NC Infantry Enlisted 2-26-62 at Iredell Co, NC.  Private, age 24.  Deserted 10-10-62.  Returned.  POW 7-1-63 at Gettysburg, PA.  Exchanged.  POW 5-20-64 at Spotsylvania Court House, VA.  Imprisoned at Point Lookout Prison, MD.  Transferred 7-6-64 to Elmira Prison, NY.  Died 4-21-65 of chronic diarrhea while a POW at Elmira Prison, NY.  He is interred at Woodlawn National Cemetery.

DAY, John C. Co H, 24th NC Infantry Enlisted 10-28-63 at Wake Co, NC.  Private.  POW 3-25-65 at Fort Stedman, VA.  Imprisoned at Point Lookout Prison, MD.
DAY, Julius 2nd Co B, 42nd NC Infantry Enlisted 1-27-62 at Rowan Co, NC.  Private, age 28.  POW 1-19-65 at Sugar Loaf, Fort Fisher, NC.  Imprisoned at Fort Monroe, VA.  Transferred 2-11-65 to Fort Delaware, DE.
