This is a partial listing donated by Virginia
Leddy who walked this cemetery and recorded these tombstones.
The Confederate section is said to contain more than 2800 soldiers. Photos of the tombstones for many of the soldiers are being scanned. Some of the photos will be better than others as I am looking in the background of the photos for tombstones of other soldiers. When blowing these up, they become blurred. A great big thanks goes out to Virginia for sharing with us! If you have data about men buried in this cemetery, please let us know, so we can add it here. Photos will be appreciated too! Send to: censusonline@lycos.com
Cemetery Location: 701 Oakwood Avenue in Raleigh, NC.
